  1. This rental contract is standard as advised by the Seychelles Car Hire Operators Association and requires the Lessee to confirm acknowledgement of all conditions herein.
  1. The Lessor, Travel Mate (Proprietary) Limited and its designated agents, agrees to rent and the Lessee agrees to take and return the vehicle under the Terms and Conditions as set out herein.
  1. The Lessor provides a vehicle in good running condition, subject to inspection by the Lessee.
  1. The vehicle shall NOT be used or driven by any unauthorized person or under the influence of substances or in the event of mechanical or electrical failure, for unlawful purposes, or in a manner that would breach insurance policy or
  1. The Lessee is responsible for proper care and normal upkeep of the vehicle, as well as all damages due to neglect or vandalism while in their possession.
  1. The Lessor has the right to charge any credit, debit, or charge card(s) for charges due, and the Lessee is jointly and severally liable for all acts and omissions, as well as all monies payable under this agreement.
  1. If credit facilities are provided, all charges, fees, expenses, loss or damages become due at the Lessor’s demand, with interest added on a daily basis to any amount outstanding if not paid on time, including collection costs and legal
  1. The Lessee is liable for all penalties, civil or traffic offences committed during the period of rental, including unpaid parking tickets, clamping fines and minor offences, and agree to abide by the decision of the Courts of the Law of the
  1. The Lessee will be charged for any damage(s), loss, or theft to the vehicle, including repair costs and loss of income for the Lessor.
  1. If the vehicle has a fault or defect, it must be reported immediately, and the Lessor will provide an alternative vehicle if necessary and available.
  1. The Lessee is responsible for replenishing fuel and monitoring the vehicle’s condition, including oil, coolant, and tire pressure.
  1. Any damage to the vehicle upon return will be the Lessee’s legal and financial responsibility.
  1. The full rental cost is payable upon signing of this agreement and delivery of the vehicle, and a credit card guarantee is required for the insurance excess deposit which shall not exceed Euro 1,000.
  1. If the vehicle is returned late or not at the agreed location, the Lessee will be charged a full day’s rental cost and any extras
  1. Any change to the rental period, including reducing or prolonging the hire, requires 3 days’ notice and will not result in a discount for the Lessee.

  1. The Lessor provides insurance cover for the Lessee(s) under the rental contract, which includes comprehensive insurance for certain damages and incidents as detailed in the insurance
  1. The insurance policy does not cover damages to vehicle windows and Lessee(s) are liable to pay a cost of €100 per damaged tires.
  1. The insurance excess charges will be incurred by the Lessee(s) for every occurrence of damage, theft, or loss, including third party claims, which the Lessor must make claim to its insurance company and the excess paid by the Lessee(s) are non-refundable. Any loss of revenue to the Lessor due to vehicle damaged caused by the Lessee which is not payable under the insurance policy shall be payable by the Lessee.
  1. In the event of an accident, the Lessee(s) must immediately inform the Lessor and contact local police authorities without moving the vehicle.
  1. The Lessee(s) are required to gather evidence at the accident site, including witnesses’ details, and submit this information promptly to the Lessor for filing with the insurance
  1. Non-compliance with accident reporting requirements makes the Lessee(s) fully responsible for any vehicle damages or losses
  1. Any loss of keys, abnormal tire damage, or damage to property stored or transported by the Lessee(s) is the direct responsibility of the Lessee(s).
  1. The Lessee is required to hold the Lessor harmless and defend and indemnify them against all claims and costs related to any loss or damages.
  1. The Lessor takes precautions to prevent faults or defects in the vehicle, but is not liable for any mechanical failures or consequential loss or damage.
  1. The Lessee(s) must ensure that all information provided is true and correct.
  1. Driving on beaches results in a forfeiture of the contract and a €500 fine.
  1. The Lessor is responsible to provide a clean vehicle for hire and the Lessee(s) is responsible to return a clean vehicle. A fee of €20 shall be payable if the vehicle is returned in an excessive unclean condition.
  1. In a long-term contract, the vehicle will be periodically checked for cleanliness, and if not acceptable, it will be repossessed immediately. All monthly payments of long-term contracts shall be payable in advance not later than the 5th day of each
